Terms of use
The agreement between you and Garry Jones for the Ledgend service.
What the service is
Ledgend is a bookkeeping tool. You enter your money in and money out, and it keeps double-entry records and produces reports from them.
What it is not
It is not accountancy, tax, or legal advice, and it does not replace an accountant. It is not software for Making Tax Digital submissions and does not file anything with HMRC. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for how you use the reports.
Your account
Keep your password private and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You must give a real email address you control. You can close your account at any time.
Your data
Your records belong to you. We keep them only to provide the service (see the privacy notice). Please download your own backup regularly: it is the best protection against anything going wrong.
Using the service properly
Don't try to break into the service or other people's books, overload it, or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend an account that does.
Availability and liability
We work hard to keep the service running and safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for losses that result from using, or being unable to use, the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't lawfully be limited.
Changes
We may update these terms. If the change matters, we'll tell you by email before it takes effect.
